ABOUT

Devin G. Young believes success means little if you’re the only one who gets to experience it.

As CEO of DGY Enterprises, Devin has built his vision around one principle: opportunity should never be reserved for the few. It should be created, expanded, and made accessible to those willing to work for it.

He understands what it means to come from humble beginnings, to build something from nothing, and to refuse to let circumstances dictate the size of your ambition. His mission is bigger than business. It is about creating pathways, opening doors, and giving people the resources, relationships, and opportunities to build something of their own.

While in law school, Devin G. Young founded DGY Consulting, an advisory firm that provides guidance and strategic services to low-income entrepreneurs and emerging businesses. His goal was simple: to help level the playing field for people with the ambition to build something of their own.

In 2021, Devin moved to “Vice City”—Miami, Florida—to begin his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney. There, he gained firsthand experience in the justice system and developed a deeper understanding of the responsibilities that come with serving the public until Devin decided to return to the gridiron, pursuing the opportunity to play professional football internationally.

Today, Devin continues to call Miami, Florida home. Over the years, he has built a reputation as a rising mogul. Through DGY Enterprises, he has developed a growing presence in Miami’s entertainment community, partnering with distinguished artists, celebrities, and industry professionals to create new opportunities for music, entertainment, and culture.

Through DGY Sports Agency, he represents athletes pursuing opportunities as a Certified Agent and Contract Advisor for the National Football League and the Canadian Football League.

Early Days

Devin G. Young grew up in Central New Jersey and began his journey as a student-athlete, playing football at American International College before a spinal injury unexpectedly ended his collegiate playing career.

Rather than allowing that setback to define his future, Devin redirected his determination and completed his undergraduate degree at Rowan University. He went on to earn his master’s degree from Rutgers University–Newark, where his academic achievements earned him recognition through the Golden Key National Honor Society.

Devin continued his pursuit of knowledge and leadership at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University College of Law, earning his law degree in 2021.

Amidst all of his success, Devin G. Young remains committed to giving back to the communities that helped shape him. Through volunteerism and community engagement, he believes that success carries a responsibility to create opportunities, uplift others, and invest in the people and communities around him.

Today, Devin G. Young serves in the legal profession within Florida’s 11th Judicial Circuit, which serves the approximately 2.7 million residents of Miami-Dade County. Through his work, Devin contributes to the administration of justice and supports the operations of the Circuit and County Courts serving one of the nation’s most diverse and dynamic communities.

His legal career has given him a firsthand perspective on the institutions that shape the lives of working families, entrepreneurs, and communities throughout Miami-Dade County. For Devin, public service is not simply a profession—it is an opportunity to understand the challenges people face, stand prepared to serve, and help build a stronger future for the community he calls home.

on the horizon

Devin G. Young continues to learn, grow, and develop an innovative and consensus-building approach to addressing some of the most difficult challenges facing his community and the State of Florida.

His experience in the legal profession has given him a firsthand understanding of the importance of a justice system that protects public safety while also recognizing the need for meaningful rehabilitation and accountability. As Florida continues to confront correctional staffing shortages and aging facilities. Devin believes thoughtful criminal justice and prison reform must remain part of the broader conversation about public safety and the future of the justice system.

Devin also recognizes that economic opportunity means little when families cannot afford the necessities of life. Access to affordable healthcare remains a significant concern, particularly as changes to federal ACA marketplace subsidies have increased costs for many consumers in 2026. Housing affordability presents another challenge, with Florida facing a shortage of affordable homes and significant housing cost burdens among low-income renters.

These issues represent the kind of challenges Devin believes require more than political division—they require leadership willing to listen, find common ground, and pursue practical solutions.

His philosophy is straightforward: government should work for the people it serves, opportunity should not be reserved for those who already have it, and meaningful progress requires the courage to bring people together around solutions.

As Devin continues to build his career in law, business, sports, and entertainment, he remains committed to learning from the communities he serves and developing the experience necessary to one day help shape solutions to the challenges.
